VEX ROBOT

The 2023-2024 VEX Robotics season features the game Over Under, which challenges teams to design, build, and program robots to compete in exciting head-to-head matches. In this game, robots must manipulate large yellow game objects called "triballs" and score them by placing them in goals or moving them over the barriers. The competition consists of a 15-second autonomous period, followed by a 1 minute and 45-second driver-controlled phase, testing teams' programming skills and driving abilities.

Teams earn points by scoring triballs into low or high goals and clearing barriers. Bonus points are awarded for tasks completed during the autonomous period and for achieving endgame objectives, such as positioning robots in specific areas. The Over Under game emphasizes creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving, pushing students to improve their engineering and coding skills. The competition offers multiple opportunities, including regional, national, and international events, culminating in the VEX Robotics World Championship, where the best teams worldwide compete.
